ETS-TNE-500 SERVO
Introduction

ETS-TNE-500 SERVO

Premium model of the TNE-500 platform: AC servo motor and precision ball-screw drive with continuous digital speed control from 1 to 1000 mm/min, standalone operation from a colour touch screen with a real-time force-displacement graph, and auto-detected load cells from 50 kg to 10,000 kg. For tensile, compression, bending and shear tests on metals, polymers, textiles, packaging, composites and rubber.

The ETS-TNE-500 SERVO is the premium edition of the 500 kg electro-mechanical testing platform from Eklavya Techno Solutions, Ichalkaranji, India, built for laboratories that want a standalone bench machine with a live graph and no separate computer. An AC servo motor drives a precision ball screw for backlash-free crosshead motion with continuous digital speed control from 1 to 1000 mm/min, and a 7-inch colour touch screen runs the test, shows the force-displacement curve in real time and stores the result. Load cells from 50 kg to 10,000 kg are detected automatically when fitted, with 0.01 kg least count and load accuracy of 0.5 percent of reading.

The machine performs tensile, compression, bending and shear tests on metals, polymers, textiles, packaging, composites and rubber, with 600 mm of crosshead travel and optional wedge, vice and threaded grips, compression platens, 3- and 4-point bending fixtures, shear attachments, the EE2 extensometer and a remote handset. Results export over USB, and Windows PC software connected by RS232C is included for graph plotting, statistics, point tracing, superimposed graphs and curve evaluation. Overload protection, upper and lower limit switches and a front-panel emergency stop are standard on the heavy-duty, vibration-dampened steel frame. It runs on single-phase 230 V and complies with IS 1828 (Part 1), ASTM E4 and ISO 7500-1.

Operation

How the test runs

  1. Fit the load cell (auto-detected) and the grips or fixture.
  2. Set speed, specimen data and test method on the touch screen.
  3. Start the test and watch the force-displacement curve live on screen.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ETS-TNE-500 SERVO

What is the difference between the TNE-500 SERVO and the TNE-500 AC?

Same 500 kg frame, ball screw, 600 mm travel, auto-detected load cells and safety features. The SERVO edition has an AC servo motor with 1 to 1000 mm/min continuous digital speed, a 7-inch colour touch screen with a live force-displacement graph, 0.01 kg least count and PC software included. The AC edition has a geared AC motor, 5 to 500 mm/min, a keypad with LED display, 0.1 kg least count and optional PC software.

Which load cells and materials does it cover?

Auto-detected cells of 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10,000 kg, others on request; the system configures itself when a cell is swapped. Typical work is tensile, compression, bending and shear on plastics, films, packaging, textiles, rubber, composites, wire, springs, adhesives and small metal parts, choosing the cell so the force falls in its accurate range.

Do I need a computer to run tests?

No. The colour touch screen sets speed, specimen data and test method, runs the test, displays the force-displacement curve live and stores the result for USB export. The included Windows PC software, connected by RS232C, is for deeper work: graph plotting, statistics, point tracing, superimposed curves and curve evaluation for reports.

How accurate is the load measurement?

Load accuracy is 0.5 percent of reading with a least count of 0.01 kg, and readings can be shown in kg or kN. Because the load cell is matched to the specimen and detected automatically, low-force tests on films or textiles are as accurate as high-force tests on metal specimens. The load-measuring system is verified to IS 1828 (Part 1), ASTM E4 and ISO 7500-1.

What fixtures are available?

Optional wedge, vice and threaded grips for tension, compression platens, 3-point and 4-point bending fixtures, shear attachments, the EE2 strain-gauge extensometer for modulus measurement and a remote handset for jogging the crosshead. Tell ETS the specimens and standards you test and the correct grips and cells will be quoted with the machine.

What safety features and power supply does it have?

Overload protection, upper and lower limit switches and a front-panel emergency stop are standard, and the heavy-duty vibration-dampened steel frame keeps results drift-free over long testing campaigns. The machine runs on a single-phase 230 V AC, 50 Hz supply, so it can be installed on any laboratory bench without three-phase wiring.
