ETS-TNE-500 AC

ETS-TNE-500 AC
Introduction

ETS-TNE-500 AC

Value model of the TNE-500 platform: AC motor with gearbox and the same precision ball-screw drive, 5 to 500 mm/min speed set by digital keypad or potentiometer, membrane keypad with bright 7-segment LED display for load and displacement, and auto-detected load cells from 50 kg to 10,000 kg. Real-time graphs are available through the optional PC software.

The ETS-TNE-500 AC is the value edition of the 500 kg electro-mechanical testing platform from Eklavya Techno Solutions, Ichalkaranji, India. It keeps the precision ball-screw drive, 600 mm crosshead travel, auto-detected load cells from 50 kg to 10,000 kg and the full set of safety features of the SERVO edition, but drives the screw with an AC motor and gearbox at 5 to 500 mm/min set by digital keypad or potentiometer, and replaces the touch screen with a membrane keypad and bright 7-segment LED display for load and displacement. Least count is 0.1 kg and load accuracy 0.5 percent of reading, shown in kg or kN.

This is the machine for quality-control benches and college laboratories that need reliable tensile, compression, bending and shear results on plastics, textiles, packaging, rubber, composites, wire and small metal parts at a lower price, and can add the optional Windows PC software over RS232C later for real-time graphs, statistics and curve evaluation. Results export over USB in the meantime. Optional wedge, vice and threaded grips, compression platens, 3- and 4-point bending fixtures, shear attachments, the EE2 extensometer and a remote handset are available. Overload protection, limit switches and an emergency stop are standard; it runs on single-phase 230 V and complies with IS 1828 (Part 1), ASTM E4 and ISO 7500-1.

  • AC motor with gearbox and precision ball-screw drive for backlash-free crosshead motion
  • Membrane keypad and 7-segment LED display panel for load and displacement
  • Speed 5 to 500 mm/min by digital keypad or potentiometer
  • Automatic load-cell detection and configuration: swap cells from 50 kg to 10,000 kg and the system configures itself
  • USB export plus optional Windows PC software via RS232C with graph plotting, data analysis, statistics, point tracing, superimposed graphs and curve evaluation
  • Overload protection, upper/lower limit switches and front-panel emergency stop
  • Heavy-duty vibration-dampened steel frame for drift-free performance
  • ASTM, ISO and IS compliant analysis
  • Optional wedge, vice and threaded grips, compression platens, 3- and 4-point bending fixtures, shear attachments, EE2 extensometer and remote handset

Operation

How the test runs

  1. Fit the load cell (auto-detected) and the grips or fixture.
  2. Set the speed and enter specimen data on the keypad.
  3. Start the test; load and displacement are shown on the LED display and recorded.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about ETS-TNE-500 AC

What do I give up compared with the TNE-500 SERVO?

The AC edition uses a geared AC motor with 5 to 500 mm/min instead of a servo motor with 1 to 1000 mm/min, a keypad and LED display instead of a colour touch screen, has 0.1 kg rather than 0.01 kg least count, and shows real-time graphs only through the PC software, which is optional rather than included. Frame, ball screw, travel, load cells and safety are the same.

Can I see a force-displacement graph on the TNE-500 AC?

Not on the machine itself; the LED panel shows load and displacement numerically. Connect the optional Windows PC software over RS232C and the curve is plotted live, with statistics, point tracing, superimposed graphs and curve evaluation. Results can also be exported over USB and analysed separately, so the software can be added when the budget allows.

Which load cells and specimens does it handle?

Auto-detected cells of 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10,000 kg, others on request, giving a range from films, textiles, paper and rubber up to wire, springs, fasteners and small metal specimens near 10,000 kg. Fit the cell suited to the specimen and the system configures itself; readings are in kg or kN with 0.5 percent of reading accuracy.

What tests and fixtures are supported?

Tensile with wedge, vice or threaded grips, compression with platens, flexural tests with 3-point and 4-point bending fixtures, and shear with the shear attachment, all optional and quoted to suit your specimens. The EE2 extensometer adds strain and modulus measurement and a remote handset makes crosshead jogging easier while loading specimens.

Which standards does it comply with and what is the power supply?

The load-measuring system is verified to IS 1828 (Part 1), ASTM E4 and ISO 7500-1, and the analysis follows ASTM, ISO and IS test methods. The machine runs on a single-phase 230 V AC, 50 Hz supply and has overload protection, upper and lower limit switches and a front-panel emergency stop. ETS installs and verifies it on site anywhere in India.
