RSNE-Twin-T
Touch Screen Rockwell cum Superficial Hardness Tester
RSNE-Twin-T

Touch-screen twin-range tester for regular Rockwell and superficial N/T scales with 3 kgf and 10 kgf minor loads. Motorised load, dwell and unload cycle, 0.1 Rockwell resolution, on-screen scale and limit selection, USB export and PC software.
The RSNE-Twin-T is the touch-screen twin-range Rockwell hardness tester from Eklavya Techno Solutions, Ichalkaranji, India, built for plants that test both through-hardened and case-hardened or thin parts. It covers the regular Rockwell scales A to K with 60, 100 and 150 kgf loads and a 10 kgf minor load, and the superficial 15N, 30N, 45N, 15T, 30T and 45T scales with 15, 30 and 45 kgf loads and a 3 kgf minor load. Scale, dwell time and high/low limits are set on the capacitive touch screen, the major load is selected by hand, and the load, dwell and unload cycle runs by motor at a touch of START. Results are shown to 0.1 Rockwell or 0.1 superficial units.
The superficial scales keep the impression inside a carburised, induction-hardened or nitrided layer and avoid distorting thin strip, small pins or plated parts. Every test is logged with date, time, value and scale for CSV export over USB or the PC software. The RSNE-Twin-T is the largest of the RSNE-T family with 290 mm test height and 148 mm throat depth. It complies with IS 1586 (Part 2), ASTM E18 and ISO 6508-2 and ships with RA and SF diamond indenters, a 1/16 inch ball and Rockwell C, Rockwell B and HR 30 N test blocks.

Major load (total test force): 147.1, 294.2, 441.3, 588.4, 980.7, 1471 N (15, 30, 45, 60, 100, 150 kgf)

Case-carburised and induction-hardened gears, shafts and pins, nitrided components, thin sheet and strip, springs and plated parts. A 150 kgf HRC test can break through a thin hard case and read low; the 15, 30 or 45 kgf superficial loads with the 3 kgf minor load keep the impression within the case. The N scales use the diamond SF indenter and the T scales the 1/16 inch ball.
The touch screen sets the scale, dwell time and high/low limits and starts the motorised load, dwell and unload cycle. The operator still fits the correct indenter and selects the major load by hand. If you want the test force selected automatically from the screen as well, the RASNT-TSFA fully automatic twin-range model does that.
The RASN-Twin-D reads the same scales to 0.1 units with a hand-operated loading lever. The RSNE-Twin motorises the cycle and uses a keypad with a thermal printer. The RSNE-Twin-T keeps the motorised cycle, adds the capacitive touch screen and exports over USB or to the PC software, in a taller frame with 290 mm test height.
The RSNE-Twin-T is built and verified to IS 1586 (Part 2), ASTM E18 and ISO 6508-2, which cover both regular and superficial Rockwell. Certified Rockwell C, Rockwell B and HR 30 N test blocks are supplied for verification at installation and routine checks, and ETS provides calibration with traceable certificates across India.
Each reading is stored with date, time, hardness value and scale, judged against the limits entered on the screen, and exported as a CSV file over USB or transferred to the ETS PC software for reporting and data management. This gives the traceable records that automotive, bearing and aerospace supply chains expect. Ask ETS if a printer is required.
